Zift’s CEO Shares Experience, Insight and Strategy with North Carolina Entrepreneurs

Zift Solutions, a leading provider of Channel Marketing and Management (CMM) solutions, today announced that Ken Romley was honored with in invitation to speak at the Black Founders Meeting in Durham, NC on Friday, January 13.
“I’m excited to share my own experiences as an entrepreneur with the group and provide insight garnered from starting four successful venture-capital backed businesses, including Zift Solutions,” said Romley.
With a mission to increase the number of successful black entrepreneurs in technology, Black Founders is creating an ecosystem that stimulates tech entrepreneurship and fosters economic growth. The Durham-based group is comprised of minority entrepreneurs, at varying stages of their respective startups, who meet to share knowledge, resources and develop programs that equip entrepreneurs, inspire innovation and accelerate success.
Romley was invited as a special guest along with Dennis English, Director of Historically Underutilized Business at the NC Department of Administration. The event is scheduled for 1:30-3 p.m., Friday January 13, 2017 at American Underground (201 W Main St Ste 100, Durham, NC 27701). His presentation will cover how to keep costs down, why and when raising money makes sense, the importance of storytelling, along with tips for scaling a growing business.
Over the last two decades, Ken has co-founded and run a wide range of technology and Internet-based enterprises while leading innovations in marketing technologies. As President and CEO of Zift Solutions, Ken is a driving force behind the company’s strategic vision and mission to deliver easy, integrated solutions that provide everything needed to build and grow a profitable channel partner program.Prior to founding Zift Solutions, Romley served as CEO and CTO of SmartPath, where he helped to establish Enterprise Marketing Management solutions as essential technology for improving marketing effectiveness. He also served as Director of Product Development for DoubleClick after the company acquired SmartPath and held executive leadership roles with Marathon Group, Micro Focus and Burl Software Laboratories.
American Underground will play host to this event and is considered North Carolina’s preeminent technology hub. It is one of the pioneers in inclusive innovation with nearly 30 percent of its startups led by women and 22 percent led by founders from underrepresented groups.
